But on my end all I saw was this (see screen cap) Team Viewer has worked fine in the past, we've been using it for about 6 months maybe every week or two, but tonight all I had was a grey desktop, and menu bar. I was able to select tiems in the menu, although I could not see the drop down options. We are both using Mac Book Pros. The gray screen problem occurs after a Mac is started or restarted. The problem is characterized by the display changing from the blue screen that occurs at power up to a gray screen, though you might not see the blue screen because it tends to go by very fast. Try to start up from macOS Recovery

If your Mac seems to be turned on but nothing appears on your display, determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:

Apple silicon

  1. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
  2. You should see the startup options window, which includes a gear icon labeled Options. Select Options, then click Continue.
